Why Have A Workshop?

For years, all over the world, in tribes and communities when people come to drum together the effects are more than just rhythm. Drumming is used to bring together communities, celebrate, relieve stress and anxiety, develop communication skills, to energise and encourage. Because drumming and rhythm is a universal language anyone and everyone can get involved.
You have a heart beat! don’t you?
Drumming affects us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually and can be profoundly uplifting.

World Tribal uses this model of people drumming together in a setting knows as a drum-circle. Below is more info on our Workshops. If at any time you get a bit lost or confused you can email us - workshop@worldtribal.com

What happens in a workshop?

We supply 1 or 2 fully trained and CRB checked facilitators with all the instruments needed to set up an environment for people to engage in rhythm and music.
The instruments we provide are all hand and percussion instruments that are easy to play and fun to use.
The workshop will automatically develop and encourage teamwork, fun, expression and improvisation.
We teach rhythms, techniques and dynamics. We include games and movement. We cover traditional African & Brazilian poly-rhythms.
We can teach you how to start and run your own drum-circle as community project.
We also provide an insight to African and Brazilian culture including how, who by and where our Fairly Traded instruments are made.
